Look @ Me Now
The L@MN project was an intro to the year, to get to know one another. It was a great opportunity to show who you are as a person in a creative and unique way! It was enjoyable to choose photos that I though best described me and my life.
Personally, I didn't have any challenges throughout this project. It was a simple project, but had a lot of room for freedom and independent choices. I didn't really struggle with anything, except maybe thinking of what my creative piece was going to be. I couldn't really think of an idea to go through with, but once I figured it out, it all came together nicely.
I did my best to critique and give kind, specific, and helpful feedback to others during the critique session. I read some of their paragraphs and see how they connected their life to the literary device. It was interesting to read all the different stories and learn more about my peers. I critiqued Aimee, Alina, and Brianna. I told them what I liked about they're writings and pieces, and what I thought they could improve upon.
I was on task 100% of the time during project work time in class. I wanted to use my time wisely to make my work the best it could be. I actually completed the writing paragraphs quite fast, but the creative piece took a bit longer. Overall, I completed the entire project before the deadline, so I was ready and happy to turn it in.
I am proud of the paragraphs I wrote, as I think they represent me while also showing an obvious connection to the literary device. Each paragraph came easy to me; I could think of a story exactly when I saw each device. I also like the way my product turned out, because I put effort into in and made it unique to me. I think I deserve an A+ for the L@MN project, I worked really hard and also made sure there were no spelling/grammar errors. I proof-read multiple times and also had others read my writing, to make sure it was the best it could be!
The only thing I may change on this project is making my product bigger, or having a larger canvas for my pictures. I chose about 8-10 photos, but it was difficult to choose. I had a very broad selection and wanted to use all the photos! If I had a larger canvas, I could’ve used more/all the pictures.
I learned more about my friends and classmates in this project, along as myself. Looking at old photos brought up old memories that made me happy to remember, as well as some of the stories I wrote about for the paragraphs.
